i couldn't hear the bass line that made me listen to the song the first time on my value computer speakers. Haven't hear Cake for ages, let alone anyone talk about Cake! Stirred the jute sack of memories somewhere in the back of my head.
the lil introduction about it being a folk song, was i think precisely along the sense of humour (these spell checks!) of a band that would cover such a song. quite different from the MC5 "Brothers and Sisters!..." introductions I've been listening of late.
Happy Holi! (that's the holiday in my part of the world today).
